| Workers Flee As Windsor Roof Collapses Posted: 07 Feb 2011 02:04 PM PST POSTED: 4:41 pm EST February 7, 2011 UPDATED: 4:49 pm EST February 7, 2011 WINDSOR, Conn. -- A massive indoor motorcycle race track in Windsor collapsed while people were on top clearing snow on Monday afternoon.Just before 3 p.m., the roof covering Mototown USA, a 200,000-square-foot facility came crashing down under the weight of all the snow and ice on the expansive roof.The owner and three others were up on the roof shoveling when it began to collapse under them.Officials said the workers on the roof actually heard creaking and cracking before it began to collapse. The workers immediately ran to the opposite side of the roof and watched the section where they had just been standing crumble to the ground.No injuries were reported.Refresh this page and watch Eyewitness News for updates on this story. © 2011 by WFSB.com.
