MANILA, Philippines—The Bureau of Customs on Thursday filed a criminal case against a lady gun smuggler before the Department of Justice (DoJ).

Facing a case for illegal importation of firearms is Lucia Chicco for trying to clear a 40-foot container van, which she declared as containing used household goods and personal effects.

However, upon inspection, BoC discovered that it contained 16 assorted long barrel guns and ammunition, two revolvers, six pistols and two safety deposit boxes containing assorted ammunition.

Those confiscated by the BoC, led by Customs Enforcement Services acting director Jose Yuchengco, included browning BT-99 single trap rifle, a Belgium double barrel long rifle, a Harris sniper rifle, an ITHAGA 12 gauge shot gun, an F-776566 long rifle and a 24 carat Winchester USA model 94aE rifle.

The ammunition also included 1,648 caliber 22 bullets, 1,121 9mm. bullets, 203 armalite bullets and 114 magnum 44 bullets.

The BoC said they also seized a used 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle, a used 1983 Kawasakit Motorcycle and a used 1999 Plymouth sedan.
