NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Sirius XM Radio(SIRI) has announced plans to offer a free introductory one-year subscription of its "Sirius Everything" package to customers who buy a new model year 2011 BMW Mini or a 2011 radio-equipped RT, GT or GTL touring motorcycle.

All new 2011 Minis will come equipped with the satellite radio hardware and the introductory Sirius subscription. "We are very excited to offer Sirius as standard equipment on 2011 Mini vehicles, as it ensures that every MINI includes a well rounded selection of in-car entertainment options," Mini USA president Jim McDowell said. The company said BMW is also slated to include the free subscription with the purchase of most of its touring motorcycle models produced from January 2011 on. "Audio entertainment is one of the pleasures of riding a touring motorcycle, and we are very excited to have Sirius become standard equipment on our new touring motorcycles, providing the perfect soundtrack for the perfect ride," BMW motorcycles vice president Pieter de Waal said. Sirius recently announced that customers who buy a Sirius-equipped certified pre-owned Kia will receive an introductory three-month subscription of the satellite radio package. Sirius stock is up more than 145% over the past year and is rising more than 8% on Wednesday to around $1.60. -- Written by Theresa McCabe in Boston. >To contact the writer of this article, click here: Theresa McCabe. >To follow the writer on Twitter, go to @TheresaMcCabe. >To submit a news tip, send an email to: tips@thestreet.com.
