The Asian MX2 title will be a toss-up among the series' Top 3 contenders as the FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme or International Motorcycling Federation) Asian Motocross Supercross Championship winds up at the Speedworld MX Circuit in SM Bicutan, Parañaque on Sunday.

According to the National Motorcycle Sports and Safety Association (NAMSSA), the event will coincide with the 12th and final leg of the 2010 Philippine National Motocross Championship.

The event is organized by NAMSSA, the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).

Teams and officials from Japan, Mongolia, Iran, Australia, Malaysia, Guam, USA and the Philippines have already confirmed their attendance in the continental event to be represented by 23 Asian federations.

Japan's Tomoya "Kamikaze" Suzuki leads the MX2 race with 142 points. He enters the final stage with a 6-point spread over his rival, Mongolian Khaliunbold Erdenebileg. At third is Iran's Amir Reza Sabetifar with 124 points.

The country's reigning Motocross Rider of the Year, Kenneth San Andres, will join the race, hoping to win a spot on the podium before his countrymen.

San Andres is currently 5th in the overall standings based on his 4th place finish behind Suzuki, Erdenebileg and Sabetifar in the penultimate round held in Iran last October.
